Catenoid is a non-compact surface of revolution obtained after rotation of a catenary line $y = a \cosh \frac{x}{a}$ around the $x$-axis. It is an example of a surface with zero mean curvature (so-called, minimal surface).Line drawn on the model are geodesic lines.
